Leonardo Dongiovanni is a Public Affairs Manager at UNIFE, the Association of the European Rail Industry. His main responsibilities include the UNIFE World Rail Market Study and the secretariat of the UNIFE Presiding Board, the highest UNIFE Committee accountable for the management of the association as well as the newly created Freight Committee.
He has a degree in environmental economics from the University of Pescara (2005).
After a traineeship at the United Nations in Vienna (2006), he took a postgraduate master degree in environment, marketing and quality at the Strategies Business School in Rome (2007).
In 2008 he moved to Brussels to work as a political advisor at the Association of European Rail Infrastructure Managers (EIM), dealing with environmental issues, EU funds and TEN-T.
He joined UNIFE in June 2011 and in 2012 he became the Executive Secretary of Rail Forum Europe, the MEPs’ platform dedicated to rail transport.
