I was born on June 13, 1952 in Breda (Netherlands). In 1971 I started my study at the Technical University Delft for electrical engineering with specialization of information technology.
My professional career started in 1980.
Design of information systems as systems analyst at automation department of KLM (Dutch airlines); 3,5 years
A long career in telecommunications at various departments of KPN (Dutch Telecom operator); 24 years
Now self-employed as Consultant Telecom & Railway systems; 8 years
I have very good knowledge of the railway system (infrastructure and rolling stock) and signaling systems. This includes also the new European system ETRMS/ETCS.
The last years I am working on the design of the Smart Freight Train (SFT) system and the setup of the SFT project together with my associate partner Peter van Kats (consultant Radio & Telecom systems). We both profit from our long working experience and broad knowledge of technical and non-technical subjects.
