Since 1998, Emanuel Šíp is an independent consultant and project manager for transport and railway infrastructure, strategy and finances in the transport. He is a partner of Allied Progress Consultants Association.
In the years 2007 – 2009, he worked as a Deputy Minister of Transport for Strategies and European Affairs. He was a leader of the AirCon PPP project – modernisation of the line Praha – Kladno with a connection to Václav Havel Airports.
Prior to 1998, he held managerial positions in the Holding CKD and ČSOB, a.s. and was director of the department of price control at the Ministry of Finance.
In the years 1993 – 1995 he was Director General of Czech Railways, where his team prepared a market-oriented reform. Since 2014, he is a chairman of the transport sector of the Czech Chamber of Commerce, which defends the interests of transport entrepreneurs.
